Webelos Weekend at Tahosa
We had a wonderful weekend hosting Pack 548 Webelos as they get ready for cross over. We worked on fishing, canoeing, axe skills, fire skills, orienteering, and first aid. As always, Camp Tahosa was a beautiful venue.

We did it! Our 12 day trek was an amazing success, and the Scouts were able to overcome many challenges along the way. It was an adventure of of a lifetime for all. Well done Crew 608-S!
The troop revisited one of our favorite hiking spots way back in the Lost Creek Wilderness. This was an overnight backpacking trip that put all of our Shakedown prep to work with full equipment, food & meal prep, and water sanitization.
Our 2nd Philmont Shakedown happened after the late snow. With all of the downed branches and trees, this gave us some trail maintenance opportunities!
We celebrated our latest Eagle Scout Rank on Sunday. Congratulations and well done, Evan!
Sixteen miles, 1000 feet climb, full packs. That’s a proper Philmont shakedown hike! No sheep (or Scouts) were harmed.
Thanks to some dedicated Scouters, the annual Klondike event hosted hundreds of cold weather Scouts and put together a great series of events capped by the traditional sled race! The camp was located in Golden Gate State Park on a beautiful February weekend.
Our Annual quinzee building campout and tubing trip was the coldest one yet… it dropped to -14F! It was a well earned Polar Bear Award!
One of the troop favorite traditions is to hike Green Mountain at night. This event includes our area Webelos as they look forward to crossover into Boy Scouts, and we enjoy homemade sugar cookies and hot cocoa after. The event is followed by a lock-in at the church where the position elections and annual troop planning take place.
The patrols competed in the annual Thanksgiving break campout at Tahosa. As usual, the competition judges were the winners!
